Feather Weight is a Series of bags that insulate and cool food and beverages while hiking and traveling.
The bags inflate, imprison air in the suitable compartment and thus produce insulation and protection for food, drinks and fragile objects.
The bags are made of "smart" fabric that can absorb liquid and cool the interior, using an evaporation technology.
The bag in the picture above is called "INSIDE", because it is stored inside your big backpack.
It is designed for traveling in the wilderness for a few days, sleeping and cooking outdoors.
"INSIDE" can be expanded and shrunk depending on the contents inside. The plastic bracket is used for rolling the unused fabric of the product and allows it to be inflated in various sizes. This way it saves space in the bag, when backpack space is calculated carefully in long treks.
"OUTSIDE" is a day backpack (25 l') , that has 2 compartments. one is designed for everyday stuff, and one that can be inflated and provide cooling and insulation.
It is suitable for hiking, but also for other uses : for example, people who do not want to eat out all the time while traveling , and prefer to cook and carry their food on them.
You can put inside food, drinks, fragile and importand objects such as laptop, tablets or a camera. It keeps a low temperature and protects your belongings from bumps and breaks.
My intention in the design, at a first glance, is to give a unique look of an inflated backpack.
The inflating nuzzle is designed to be the "center piece" of the backpack.
The color choice was intanded to make the product unisex. and to give it an innovative, modern and an Intriguing look.
